CRS Impact
CRS has positively transformed the lives of over 4,200 children, youth, and community members in Dzaleka Refugee Camp through targeted programs:
600+ youth trained in leadership, life skills, and community service
Impact: Participants are now able to organize community initiatives, lead peer groups, advocate for positive change, and actively contribute to problem solving in their communities.
1,300+ learners supported through education programs, including English as a Foreign Language (EFL), early childhood education, and literacy development
Impact: Learners are able to read, write, and communicate effectively, pursue further education, and access opportunities that were previously unavailable due to language and literacy barriers.
380 young people, especially girls, equipped with vocational skills in tailoring, hairdressing, and soap-making
Impact: Participants are now capable of producing garments, providing beauty services, and creating soap products independently, enabling them to generate income and achieve financial self-reliance.
350 individuals reached through gender-based violence (GBV) prevention campaigns and child protection awareness
Impact: Participants are able to identify and respond to GBV risks, advocate for safe practices, protect children’s rights, and support peers in vulnerable situation
